Biographical Information[edit]
The brother of Rocky Krsnich, Mike Krsnich had cups of coffee in the majors with the Milwaukee Braves in 1960 and 1962.
After he finished in Organized Baseball, Krsnich signed with the Taiyo Whales in Japan. He slugged .500 his first two years in Japan and hit 36 homers in 1964, second in the Central League only to Sadaharu Oh (albeit 19 fewer than Oh hit). He slipped a bit in 1965 and then went to the Kintetsu Buffaloes in 1966, where he basically repeated his 1965 line. He retired after the 1966 season but joined the Hanshin Tigers for the last half of the 1967 campaign, hitting just .215/.323/.341. In his five years in Japan, Krsnich hit .265/.326/.475.
