Mike Bazuin is an infielder. He debuted in the Hoofdklasse in 2007, going 1 for 7 with a homer and making one error in four chances at third base for DOOR Neptunus. In 2008, he hit .226/.250/.355 with 13 strikeouts in 31 AB as a backup for Neptunus. He moved to Sparta/Feyenoord for 2009 and batted .230/.257/.309; their starting shortstop, he fielded .937 there. He was third among the league's 8 starting shortstops in fielding, behind Marvin Bleij and Mike Duursma.

Bazuin enrolled at Cochise College for the 2010 season.
