Biographical Information[edit]
Mik Aoki is a college coach.
Aoki was a star player at Davidson College, becoming one of seven players in school history to hit two grand slams in a season. Through 2009, he is still 8th in school history in slugging (.547) and 9th in average (.335). He played for the HCAW Tigers in the Dutch Major League in 1991.
Aoki was head coach of Manchester Community College in 1992, then was an assistant at Ohio University in 1993. He was assistant coach at Dartmouth College from 1995-1998. From 1999-2003, he was head coach at Columbia University, going 87-140. He was pitching coach for Boston College in 2004-2006 then became head coach in June 2006. He was 50-54-1 his first two years there. Aoki was the head coach at the University of Notre Dame from 2011 to 2019 (248–253–1), then moved to Morehead State University in 2020, staying through 2023. Aoki became head coach at University of Richmond for 2024.
