Biographical Information[edit]
Miguel Herrera pitched for the Spanish national team. He was 0-2 with a 6.88 ERA in the 1988 Baseball World Cup, but led Spain in IP (17, 5 2/3 ahead of Juan Damborenea) and his ERA was second on the 10-man staff; Enrique Cortes led at 5.79. He was 1-1 with a 11.57 ERA in the 1991 Intercontinental Cup. While his ERA was above the team mark this time, he had one of their two wins among seven losses, holding Russia to one run in six before Damborenea took over in a 9-1 win. He also helped Spain take Bronze in the 1991 European Championship.
