Biographical Information[edit]
Migreily Ángulo has played for the Venezuelan women's national team.
She debuted in the 2015 Pan American Games, starting in left and backing up Osmari García at catcher. She hit .412/.412/.471 with 3 runs in 5 games, with one error in seven chances. In their last game, against Canada (with the winner going to the finals and the loser getting Bronze), she had two of four hits off Autumn Mills. She scored the game's first run in the 5th, on a Leonela Reyes single, but Canada came back to win as Venezuela did not score again. [1]
Ángulo hit .409/.480/.500 in the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup, with five runs and five RBI in eight games. She again started in left and backed up at catcher. She had 16 putouts and no assists or errors. She tied Sascha Egas, Jenna Flannigan, Chia-Wen Shen and Nilsa Rodríguez for 8th in the event in hits (9). Venezuela won another Bronze; she was 0 for 3 from the 5 slot in the 4-3 Bronze Medal Game win over Taiwan. [2]
Migreily was back in left for Venezuela in the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, also filling in in center one game. She batted .368/.556/.579 with 8 runs in 8 games while playing flawless defense (6 PO, 1 A, 0 E). She also went 3-for-3 in steals and drew six walks. She was among the leaders in runs (tied for 10th) and walks (tied for 8th). [3]
