He had 34 games finished, 11 saves, 66 strikeouts and a 3.56 ERA in 60 2/3 innings of work. He bagan the 2014 season at Omaha, but was soon called up to Kansas City, making his debut on April 11th, giving up 2 runs in 2 innings of relief in a 10-1 loss to the Minnesota Twins. He shuttled between the big leagues and AAA for the first few months of the season, going 1-0, 6.48 in 17 games for the Royals and 2-1, 4.95 in 14 games for Omaha. His last appearance of the year came in early August in AAA.

He did not pitch in the major leagues from 2017 until 2023, when he appeared in one game for the Cincinnati Reds. In the interim, he had pitched in the minor leagues, in the independent leagues, in the Mexican League, and briefly for the CTBC Brothers of the Chinese Professional Baseball League in 2022.
