Max Schumacher was General Manager of the Indianapolis Indians from 1961-1997, later adding the title of President from 1969-2016. He was named American Association Executive of the Year in 1996. Schumacher was voted into the International League Hall of Fame in 2017, alongside pitcher Lee Gardner.
