Biographical Information[edit]

Matt White bought 50 acres from his great aunt to help her with nursing home bills. Eventually, they found an estimated $2.4 billion in a valuable rock on the property. In 2007, Matt signed with the Yokohama BayStars. He made his ni-gun debut on July 12th, allowing 6 runs in 3 innings. White was 0-3 with a 4.96 ERA in 24 games for the BayStars that year.

White is not to be confused with a righthander named Matt White who was a first round draft pick in 1996, and signed a 10 million dollar contract with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. That pitcher, Matthew Edward White, never reached the majors.
