Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Matt Sczesny played in the farm system of the Boston Red Sox from 1954 to 1959, missing the 1957 season due to military service.

Sczesny was then a minor league manager in the Boston Red Sox chain for 11 years from 1960 to 1970.

Sczesny worked as a scout for the Red Sox from 1971 through 2008, signing John Valentin and Kevin Morton among others.
