Biographical Information

Pitcher Matt McClendon was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1996 amateur draft. He did not sign with the club and instead attended the University of Florida. He was later selected by the Atlanta Braves in the fifth round of the 1999 amateur draft. He played in the minor leagues from 1999 to 2004, going 16-22 with a 4.57 ERA in 92 games (53 starts).
