Biographical Information[edit]

Matt Dean began his professional career in 2012.

He was taken by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 13th round of the 2012 amateur draft (the scout was Michael Wagner) and began his professional career that year.

He hit .222/.282/.353 with two home runs and 24 RBI with the Bluefield Blue Jays his first season and in 2013, again with Bluefield, he hit .338/.390/.519 with six home runs and 35 RBI in 63 games to earn Post-Season Appalachian League All-Star honors. With the Lansing Lugnuts in 2014, Dean hit .281/.332/.429 with nine home runs and 51 RBI to earn a spot on the Midwest League's Mid-Season All-Star roster.

He began 2015 with the Dunedin Blue Jays.
