Biographical Information

Infielder Matt Creighton began his pro career in 2002 and led the Arizona League with a .361 average while playing for the AZL Cubs this summer. Overall, he played four years in the Chicago Cubs organization, reaching the AAA level, followed by two seasons in the independent leagues.

Creighton's brother Tom Creighton also played minor league ball.
