Biographical Information

Mathew Smith has played in Australia and France.

Smith was 6 for 42 with a double and 10 walks in the 2010-2011 Australian Baseball League, playing for the Adelaide Bite. In 2011-2012, he hit .208/.300/.308 in 30 games. He was only 6 for 58 with 10 walks and three doubles in 2012-2013. He played for France's Rouen Huskies in 2012 and 2013. In the 2012 European Cup, he went 1 for 8 with a double and hit-by-pitch. He was 4 for 15 with four walks and a HBP in the 2013 European Cup; he also allowed 10 runs in 9 innings and lost a game to the Paderborn Untouchables. Only Carlos Hereaud had a better OPS for Rouen.
