Biographical Information

Catcher Mat Erwin was selected by the Florida Marlins in the 20th round of the 1995 amateur draft and played two years in their organization. He was with the Sioux Falls Canaries in the Northern League in 1997, hitting .203 in 69 games. He was shot and killed following the season.
