Biographical Information[edit]
Masayuki Yano pitched in the NPB and CPBL.
Yano was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 5th round of the 1994 NPB draft, but he was placed in the NPB Farm Leagues for nearly his entire career. He only pitched 3 games with a 14.73 ERA in 1997, then he was released in 1998. Yano went to the Chinatrust Whales, and he had a 4.09 ERA in 7 games in 2000 then he announced his retirement.
Yano’s repertoire included a fastball (peak 92.6 mph) and curveball.
