Biographical Information[edit]

Marvin Hudson has been a major league umpire since working his first games as a National League umpire in 1998.

He debuted in the Appalachian League in 1992, then moved up to the South Atlantic League (1993), Florida State League (1994), Southern League (1995-1996), Hawaii Winter League (1995), Dominican League (1997) and International League (1997-1999). He then made it to the majors permanently in 2000 following the mass resignation of MLB umpires. He worked the 2004 All-Star Game and the 2009 World Baseball Classic. He worked his first World Series in 2016. He was named a crew chief before the 2022 season.
