Biographical Information[edit]
Marshall McDonald has been a college coach.
McDonald was on the inaugural Catawba Valley Community College baseball team in 2010, leading the team with 15 dingers. Transferring to Montreat, he was All-Conference as a senior. He played in Puerto Rica's top amateur league in 2013 then turned pro in 2014, hitting .161/.253/.259 between three Pacific Association teams - the Vallejo Admirals, Sonoma Stompers and Pittsburg Mettle. In 2015, he batted .294/.390/.559 in eight games for the Skagit Valley Lumberjacks.
By this time, he had begun coaching as an assistant at CVCC (2014-2017), then moved to Montreat as assistant from 2018-2021. He returned to CVCC as their head coach in 2022.
