Mark Wooden pitched as high as AA.

Wooden was with Team Canada for the 1983 Intercontinental Cup, 1983 Pan American Games, 1984 Olympics and 1985 Intercontinental Cup. The Seattle Mariners chose him in the 7th round of the 1986 amateur draft. Assigned to the Bellingham Mariners, he was 6-4 with a 3.77 ERA and helped them to the Northwest League pennant.

He split 1987 between the Wausau Timbers (5-1, 17 Sv, 3.33) and Chattanooga Lookouts (0-1, 5 Sv, 3.86). Overall, he walked only 10 in 70 innings that year. In 1988, the Ontario native was 8-5 with a 3.34 ERA and 21 saves for the Vermont Mariners. He was second in the Eastern League in saves behind Dean Wilkins.

Wooden remained at AA with the 1989 Williamsport Bills and had his worst year as a pro, going 1-7 with five saves and a 4.14 ERA. He went 1-1 with two saves and a 2.30 ERA in 10 games for the 1990 Bills.

Overall, Wooden was 21-19 with 50 saves and a 3.67 ERA in the minors.
