Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Mark Hindy spent one season in the minors.

He pitched one shutout inning as a high school freshman and gave up 3 runs in 1 2/3 IP as a sophomore. His junior year, he was 2-2 with a 6.75 ERA in 20 games. As a senior, he improved to 1-1, 4.12 in 25 contests, striking out 45 in 39 1/3 IP. He played for the rookie-level Ogden Raptors in 1995, going 2-3 with a save and a 4.73 ERA in 24 games (six starts). In 70 1/3 innings, he allowed 89 hits and 24 walks, while striking out 44 batters. He was 8th in the Pioneer League in hits allowed.

He later became an equity trader at Cantor-Fitzgerald and died in the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center terrorist attacks; other baseball players killed then were Marty Boryczewski and Brent Woodall.
