Marc Arnouts was a member of the Belgian national team that won the Bronze Medal in the 1977 European Championship. In the 1978 Amateur World Series (Belgium's first global tournament), the teenager was Belgium's most-used hurler, leading the staff in IP (17 1/3), games pitched (3, tied with Johnny Peerens), walks (12), strikeouts (4) and ERA (6.75, .45 ahead of #2 Marcel Vogels). He allowed 22 hits, only 4th-most on Belgium, despite leading the team in innings. He concluded his First Division career in 1993.
