Biographical Information[edit]

Manuel Campos was signed by the Seattle Mariners as an amateur free agent at age 17. He debuted in 2007 as a pro with the VSL Mariners, going 1-0 with a 5.75 ERA in 11 games. In 2008, he went 3-3 with 4 saves and a 3.90 ERA in 19 games for the same club. He was a late addition to Panama's roster for the 2009 World Baseball Classic but did not pitch in the Classic. He was 1-2 with ten saves and a 3.91 ERA for the VSL Mariners that summer. He led the Venezuelan Summer League in saves, one ahead of Hector Corpas, but it would be his last season in the minors.

In the 2017 Bolivarian Games, he relieved Davis Romero in the opener against Peru and struck out four of seven batters he faced, walking one and not allowing a run to close out a shutout win. Panama would get the Silver Medal. A month later, he was with Panama for another Silver Medal and again closed out a shutout win in the opener. This time, he took over for Harold Araúz in the 7th and pitched two innings with two whiffs and one walk (to Keylor Delgado).
