Biographical Information

Manny Batista has been a scout and coach. He was a Puerto Rico area scout for the Texas Rangers (1986-1988, 1990-1998) and Chicago Cubs (1989). He also coached for the GCL Rangers (1990-1992) and managed the 1995 DSL Rangers. From 1998-2009, he was Latin American Coordinator for the Rangers. He then moved to the Milwaukee Brewers as a scout. At the end of the 2011 season, he was promoted to Milwaukee's Director of Scouting for Venezuela. Among those he has signed are Víctor Díaz, Manuel Pina, Wilmer Font and Mauro Gomez.
