The Macoto Cobraswere a member of the Chinese Professional Baseball League. They joined the CPBL in 2003 as Macoto Gida when the league merged with the Taiwan Major League. As one of the newest members of that league they did not had a chance to establish much of a history and they were going to be sold in 2007, as the title Jiuhe Dragons. However, another four teams disapproved it. In 2008, Macoto Cobras was sold to DMEDIA GROUP, a GPS OEM/ODM company with owning a basketball club in Taiwan, and the team was renamed the dMedia T-Rex.
