Biographical Information[edit]

Maik Ehmcke has played in Germany and the US.

He debuted in Bundesliga-1 in 2010 with the Dohren Wild Farmers, going 7 for 63 with a double, 15 walks and 26 whiffs while manning left field at age 16. In 2011, he went 0 for 2 for the Regensburg Legionäre. He hit .250/.278/.250 in the 2012 European Cup. He went 8 for 20 with 5 runs and 7 RBI for the Legionäre in the regular season. In 2013, he hit .333/.455/.470 with 20 runs, 15 RBI and 16 walks in 24 games. He finished 15th in the southern Bundesliga-1 in average and 6th in OBP (second to Sascha Lutz among native Germans). In the 2013 European Cup, he was 5 for 15 with two walks, a double, two steals and two runs. After a fine performance in the MLB European Academy in 2013, he was signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks; the scout was Craig Shipley. He was the first German signed by Arizona.

Ehmcke made his US debut as a regular outfielder with the 2014 Missoula Osprey.
