Biographical Information[edit]
Márcio Tanaka has played for the Brazilian national team.
He played for Brazil in the 1999 Pan American Games. Tanaka, like other top Brazilian players of Japanese descent, came to Japan for high school and college to develop his game. He then remained in Japan's industrial leagues, playing for Kyushu Japan Railways. He made Brazil's roster for the 2013 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers.
