Luis Reynoso played in the Houston Astros minor league system from 2012-2016. He started with the DSL Astros and worked his way up to High-A ball with the Lancaster JetHawks in his final season. Reynoso split his playing time between shortstop, second base, and third base with occasional outfield duty thrown in. Over his five seasons Reynoso hit .239/.324/.303 while appearing in 215 games.
After his playing career ended, Reynoso stayed with the Astros as a coach. He may have coached in 2017, but he was not listed among the minor league managers and coaches when they were announced early in the year. He was a coach for the DSL Astros in 2018-2019. Reynoso was scheduled to be the hitting coach for the team in 2020 before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season. He did coach DSL Astros hitters in 2021. Reynoso moved to the states as the hitting coach for the FCL Astros Orange in 2022 and Fayetteville Woodpeckers in 2023. He returned to the Dominican Summer League in 2024 as hitting coach for the DSL Astros Blue.
