Biographical Information[edit]

Luis Prieto pitched for the Venezuelan national team that won Bronze in the 1986 Central American and Caribbean Games. [1] He was also with Venezuela in the 1986 Amateur World Series [2] and 1987 Pan American Games [3]. In the 1990 Baseball World Cup, he had a 4.91 ERA in four appearances. Only Gilberto Romero pitched more times for Venezuela and only Luis Tirado had a better ERA on a hard-hit staff.
