Biographical Information[edit]
Luis Muñoz was an infielder for the Dominican national team that won a Silver Medal in the 1946 Central American and Caribbean Games. He won the 1948 Amateur World Series with them, the lone Dominican world title before the 2013 World Baseball Classic. He played pro ball in Puerto Rico, Colombia and Nicaragua as well for the Leones del Escogido from 1951-1958. He was inducted into the Dominican Sports Hall of Fame in 1993.
