Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Luis DeJesus played professionally from 2011 to 2016.

He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 11th round of the 2011 amateur draft. The hurler began his career with a 3.33 ERA in 13 games (nine starts) for the AZL Indians in 2011 and a 2.73 mark between the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and Lake County Captains in 2012. He was a New York-Penn League Mid-Season All-Star that year. He posted a 5.97 ERA in 2013 and a 5.66 mark the next year. With the independent Traverse City Beach Bums in 2015, he was 6-3 with a 3.81 ERA in 16 games; in Mexico with the Pericos de Puebla in 2016, he allowed five earned runs in two innings in his lone appearance, a start.
