Biographical Information[edit]
Luís Yendis has pitched in the minors and for the Colombian national team.
He was signed by Tampa Bay Devil Rays scout Ronnie Blanco in 2007. [1] He was 1-4 with a save and a 4.80 ERA for the 2007 VSL Devil Rays/Reds. He improved to 0-2, 2.65 for the 2008 VSL Rays. Coming to the US for the only season in 2009, he struggled with the GCL Rays (1-1, 9.64 ERA, 2.36 WHIP). In 2010, he was back down with the VSL Rays and was 3-3 with a save and a 4.11 ERA. He finished his minor league career 5-10 with two saves and a 4.23 ERA in 57 games (24 starts). He had a 1.50 WHIP and struck out 86 in 159 2/3 IP.
He later pitched for the Caimanes de Barranquilla in the Colombian League. He joined the Colombian team for the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games.
