Louisville Black Caps
The Louisville Black Caps were a short-lived Negro Leagues franchise, based in Louisville, KY. The first played in the Negro National League in 1930, then were known as the Louisville White Sox while playing in the same circuit in 1931.
After the collapse of the original Negro National League, the Negro Southern League was considered a major circuit in 1932, and one of its members was the Black Caps. The club began 9-11 but left for the second half, replaced by the Columbus Turfs.
