Biographical Information

Lord de Vera hit .176 for the Philippines national team that won the 2023 East Asian Baseball Cup but had four runs and two RBI in four games as they advanced to the 2023 Asian Championship. In the 2022 Asian Games (actually held in 2023, after delays from COVID-19), he was the primary shortstop for the Philippines. He singled off Makoto Hori in his first at-bat, after the first 8 Filipino hitters were set down. He finished at .250/.357/.250 with 3 runs in 4 games, handling 16 chances error-free. He tied for third in the event with four double plays turned while only Adriane Ros Bernardo had more runs for the Philippines.
