Longest home run

From BR Bullpen

The longest home run hit in Major League Baseball is a 634-foot blast by Mickey Mantle for the New York Yankees against the Detroit Tigers at Briggs Stadium in Detroit, Michigan on September 10, 1960. Mantle's home run is officially acknowledged by the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest hit in baseball.  Before that, the longest home run hit in Major League Baseball was measured at 575 feet, hit by Babe Ruth on July 18, 1921.
