Biographical Information[edit]

Lloyd Turner was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 30th round of the 1998 Amateur Draft out of high school, but he opted to attend college instead. He was drafted again by the Oakland Athletics in the 16th round of the 2002 Amateur Draft. Turner spent six seasons in Oakland's minor league system, including 36 games with the Triple-A Sacramento River Cats in 2007. Overall he hit .256/.329/.366 while serving as a utility player defensively. Turner then played three years (2008-10) with the Lancaster Barnstormers and two years (2011-12) with the Camden Riversharks in the independent Atlantic League.

After retirement, Turner returned to the A's to begin his new career as a coach.

Turner was scheduled to return to Beloit as manager in 2020 before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season.
