Lloyd Simmons
Lloyd Simmons coached for 26 years at Seminole State College (1976-2001) amassing a record of 1,643-312, a record for college coaching wins at any level. Simmons was the second junior college coach to win 1,000 games (one week after Demie Mainieri reached the milestone). He was inducted into the National Junior College Hall-of-Fame in 1997 and the College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2019.
Simmons managed the GCL Royals in 2002 and managed the AZL Royals in 2003-2007.
Simmons returned to Seminole State in 2013 for a second stint as head coach and remained there through 2016.
Simmons' younger brother, Wendell Simmons, was also a longtime college coach.
