Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Lloyd Gladden was drafted in the 41st round of the 1969 amateur draft by the Kansas City Royals. He debuted in the New York-Penn League in 1969 and was in AAA with the Omaha Royals at the end of 1970 and all of 1971. Gladden was taken by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 1971 Rule V Draft. Assigned to the Evansville Triplets in 1972, Gladden won the Allie Reynolds Award as the the top pitcher in the American Association.
