Leonard Mayo pitched for Eastern Air Lines. The team served as Team USA for the 1942 Amateur World Series. His 1.50 ERA led the team and was 6th in the event, between MLB-bound Julio Moreno and Dominican ace Luis Castro and ahead of future major leaguers Izzy León and Connie Marrero. He was 1-1; the rest of the US staff was 1-5.
