Biographical Information[edit]

Leo Quaglia has been an Elitserien MVP.

Quaglia was 9-for-42 with two walks and a double for the 2020 Stockholm Monarchs at age 17. [1] The next year, he played every position except second and short, hitting .298/.420/.386. [2] In 2022, he continued to develop at .366/.524/.512. [3] While still not having a set position in '23, he was a regular and hit .333/.418/.455 with 15 steals in 17 tries. He tied Albin Käck for 8th in hits, tied for 7th in doubles (6) and tied Tommy Lindell for 4th in swipes. [4]

He was a late cur from Sweden's team for the 2023 European Championship. [5] In 2024, Leo was excellent for Stockholm, batting .416/.529/.558 with 46 runs, 36 RBI and 23 steals (caught once) in 28 games, fielding .956 as a C/SS/1B/3B/P. He was among the league leaders in runs (2nd, 7 behind Joel Johnson), hits (47, 1st, 2 ahead of Daniel Johnson), homers (3, tied for 2nd), RBI (3rd, after the two Johnson brothers listed above), total bases (63, 4th), average (4th), OBP (2nd to Joel Johnson), OPS (3rd), walks (17, tied for 3rd), HBP (10, 1st) and steals (1st, 2 ahead of Joel Johnson).
