Biographical Information[edit]

In 1943 Lefty George went 7-8, pitching 105 innings in 21 games - at the age of 56 and 57 for the York White Roses of the Interstate League. He won over 300 games in the minor leagues, winning at least 20 games in a season four times, and eclipsed 5,000 innings pitched. During the 1924 New York-Penn League season, Lefty threw 49 consecutive scoreless innings for York. His minor league career lasted 26 seasons.
