Biographical Information[edit]
Lee Landers served as the President of the Appalachian League from 1996 to 2018.
He began working in professional baseball in 1959 with the Fresno Giants of the California League. After a number of stops around the minors, he was named General Manager of the Springfield (IL) Cardinals in 1981. He stayed on the job for 12 seasons. In 1996, he became President of the Appalachian League. In 2017 he was named King of Baseball in honor of his lifetime's work in support of the development of minor league baseball.
