Biographical Information[edit]

Lee Carey played in the Cleveland Indians system from 1947 to 1952. He was consistent his first five years, having between 138 and 170 total bases each season. In 1948, he hit a career-high .290 for the Bakersfield Indians. The next year, he had a career-high .457 slugging mark for the Harrisburg Senators. His 39 steals for the Wichita Indians led the 1951 Western League.

He later coached Tucson High School and Rincon High School. He was later assistant principal at Sabino High School.
