Biographical Information[edit]
Larry Smith was head coach at Texas Wesleyan College in 1970-1977. He also coached at Indiana University in 1981-1983 and Duke University in 1985-1987 and Scottsdale Community College in 1989-1999. Smith was also an assistant coach at Arizona State University and Northwestern University.
Smith managed the Welland Pirates in 1993, and coached for Welland in 1989 and 1994 and the Erie SeaWolves in 1996.
He was also a scout and batting practice pitcher with the Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates.
