Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Larry Segovia spent five seasons in the minor leagues, in 1953 and from 1955 to 1958. He peaked, very briefly, at the Open classification.
In 1955, he hit 12 home runs for the Albuquerque Dukes of the high-offense West Texas-New Mexico League. The next year, with the Wenatchee Chiefs, he hit 14 home runs and 29 doubles. In 1957, he appeared in three games for the Open Pacific Coast League's Seattle Rainiers but didn't earn an at-bat. He spent most of the campaign in the lower minors.
Overall, Segovia hit .259 with 409 hits in 423 games.
