Biographical Information[edit]
Larry Maxie posted a good ERA and WHIP in his very brief time with the Atlanta Braves in 1969.
He is the earliest major leaguer born in Upland, CA - eleven big leaguers have been born there through 2019. Along with his time in the majors, he had 15 seasons in the minors, of which six were with the Richmond Braves. A teammate there during three of the seasons was Tommie Aaron. Other teammates included Dusty Baker and Darrell Evans.
He scouted for Atlanta (1974), thePhiladelphia Phillies (1977-1978), the Toronto Blue Jays (1979-1986), and the Chicago White Sox (1987-??).
