Biographical Information[edit]
Laddie Renfroe was a submarine style pitcher who strangely led the minors with 19 wins in 1989 while only starting 2 games for the AA Charlotte Knights. He made his Major League debut at age 29 after being used as a closer with the AAA Iowa Cubs. His major league career was not successful giving up 11 hits and 7 Earned Runs in 4 2/3 innings.
Renfroe's son, David Renfroe, was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 2009 and began his pro career the next year.
