La Palma Park was then the spring training home for the 1940 Philadelphia Athletics and again for the St. Louis Browns in 1946. In 1941, La Palma Park was home to the Class C Anaheim Aces of the California League in 1941. The stadium has also been used to host football games starting in 1956 in a game between Anaheim High School & Redlands High School. In 1983, Cal State Fullerton's football team hosted two of their three home games (Pacific Tigers & UNLV Rebels) at Glover Stadium (renamed in 1971), after their home field (Anaheim Stadium) had poor field conditions due to rain.
