Biographical Information[edit]
Kyung-pyo Kim played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 6 years.
Kim played for the South Korean national team in the 1983 Asian Championship and 1983 Intercontinental Cup. The MBC Blue Dragons selected him in the first round of the 1984 KBO draft, and he hit .316/.381/.516 in 48 games in his first year. Kim struggled in 1985 as he only hit .157/.246/.177, then he was 1-for-9 and 6-for-20 respectively in the next two seasons. He bounced back with a .252/.352/.301 batting line in 1988, then he slumped to .168/.226/.190 in 70 games in 1989. Kim passed away due to a car accident before the 1990 season.
Overall, Kim hit .235/.316/.305 with 97 hits in 6 seasons in the KBO.
