Kyuei Flyers
After the 1947 season the Daiei Motion Picture Company bought half of the Tokyu Flyers from Tokyu Electric Railway. The new team was called the Kyuei Flyers, a portmanteau of Daiei (大映) and Tokyu (東急) to form Kyuei (急映). The short-lived partnership placed fifth with a record of 59-70-11. After the name reverted to Tokyu after Daiei pulled out from backing the Flyers to buy the seventh place Kinsei Stars.
