Kyeong-nam Kim played in the KBO for 7 years.
Kim joined the Sammi Superstars when the KBO was founded in 1982, and he hit .269/.298/.384 with 16 doubles that season. He led the league in triples (tied with Dong-kyun Yun and Chun-suh Koo), and he was 10th in doubles (8 behind In-chun Baek). Kim slumped to .217/.252/.266 in 1983, then he hit .203/.254/.258 in 1984. His batting line fell to .152/.177/.242 in 1985, then he recorded a .175/.216/.279 batting line in 1986. Kim batted .129/.260/.161 in 1987, then he announced his retirement after having a 1-for-35 record in 1988. He later coached the KT Wiz from 2014 to 2015.
Overall, Kim hit .209/.252/.291 with 178 hits and 7 homers in 7 seasons in the KBO.
