Kurt Brauckmiller was the brother of Ken Brauckmiller.

Kurt, like Ken, was picked out of Portland State University. He was taken in the 17th round of the 1984 amateur draft by the Montréal Expos. Brauckmiller pitched for the 1984 Gastonia Expos (2-0, 3.21) and Jamestown Expos (5-3, Sv, 1.95). He was 6th in the New York-Penn League in ERA and went 2 for 9 with a double at the plate.

In '85, Brauckmiller was with the Tri-City Triplets (3 R in 1 IP) and the West Palm Beach Expos (0-1, 3.26, 27 H in 38 2/3 IP but 40 BB).

He later pitched in the Dutch Hoofdklasse, where his brother became a MVP. Kurt and Ken squared off on opposing sides in a 1994 contest; it would be 11 years till two more brothers opposed each other in a Hoofdklasse game (Tom Stuifbergen and Nick Stuifbergen).
